I will be on vacation. Hellz yeah.
Our itinerary is as follows: Fly from Lovefield to Chicago, change flights to Providence, drive to Boston, stay for a night, drive to Toronto, stay a few days, drive back to Boston, move Nina into MIT in Cambridge, buy everything she needs, and then come back home. Hopefully there will be time to visit Boston tourist things as well as see Niagara Falls from the New York side.

Anyway, I'll catch you all later, in ten days, back in Texas, possibly ATX.

It's a mix in the making:

Seventeen Years_Ratatat
Olio_The Rapture
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger_Daft Punk
Disposable Parts_Enon
Glass Danse_The Faint
D.A.N.C.E_Justice
Seventeen_Ladytron
Tribulations_LCD Soundsystem
Emerge_Fischerspooner
Night On Fire_VHS or Beta
Intensify_!!!

Though I'm rethinking The Rapture song, the ones on the new album seem pretty dance-y. I listen to the same music I listened to in high school.

My drivers license picture is not centered. They do not know how to do these things?

I have only two more days left of summer in Grand Prairie. What are my plans? Celebrate parent's anniversary, hang out with Nicole, Josh, and John, make FSFS tee-shirts, hang out with Eman and Brittany. Coming soon, summer in a summary! but for real this time. None of that sad bullshit.

So an update on my mom. She had her surgery on Wednesday and when she got back home she had an eye patch and was terribly tired. Right now she still can't see out of her right eye but they said it'd take a few months to completely heal. I hope she gets all of her vision back. They have her on pain killers and three different eye drops. Oh yeah, they also said she can't go on the Boston/Toronto trip with us. Because the procedure involved placing a gas bubble in her eye to force the retina back into place, the air pressure in the plane cabin would interfere with her eye pressure. We're all pretty upset about that and I don't want to leave her home alone, but Nicole said that she could probably spend a few nights here while we're away.

Yesterday, I went to the optometrist and got myself some contacts. It has been over four years since I haven't had glasses and I think I look funny without them. Ah well. But hey, I can wear sunglasses again! and driving during sunset isn't so awful.

Brittany and I were talking about tattoos yesterday and I thought it'd be neat if we got tattoos together. She said whenever I was ready to just let her know. I don't even know what I'd get, but how cute would that be?! Me getting TEETH on the inside of my lip or something. Gosh.

This is the cutest thing I've seen this week. Locks of Love. Those first four pictures were recently added since I last visited the site. I HAVE to do this.

The past few days have been fairly busy. This past weekend, my father and I borrowed Josh's truck and drove down to Austin with all of my belongings piled high. The decision process of finding a place to live this coming school year was complicated and I ended up getting a really tiny place that is extremely close to where I need to be on campus. In fact, upon arriving at the actual apartment, efficiency, I discovered it to be smaller than remembered. We made it work by unfortunately scrapping the idea of a futon and a bed. We took a trip to Ikea and bought a bed frame (no more sleeping on the floor!), a television stand, and a table set. Oh! the fun of putting that all together. So, everything is mostly set up, some things are unpacked and when I get back there later this month, I'll be set to start school.

I keep wanting to eat the snacks I bought for the apartment. Natasha, they are NOT in THIS house. Plus, you don't need snacks, chubby.

Today my sisters and I went with my mom to the eye doctor because she has been having problems seeing in one of her eyes. The doctors today informed her that she has a detached retina. Because they couldn't get her into an operating room today, she's going in for surgery tomorrow morning at eight-fifteen. They said that after the surgery she shouldn't go back to work for at least a week and can't lift anything over ten pounds. Mom, may your surgery go well, and have a speedy recovery. She has to be at the hospital in six-and-a-half hours from now actually. I wish I wouldn't be sleeping. Luhv mom.

In an attempt to redeem myself, I'm sorry. Even though I know it doesn't change anything.
Go away Rolling Stones, time is never on my side.

I am officially a legal driver. I think out of the seven people that took the road test yesterday morning, four passed and three failed. The actual driving time was about five minutes and I didn't do fab, but hey, I passed.

I'll be in Austin Sunday and Monday, moving in to the tiny place and getting everything ready. I won't be back in Austin until the very end of August, just in time for school to start again. Oh last year of school.

THIS IS AUGUST OH SEVEN.

Get Back!
