Being seated in class C isn't all that bad. You may be sitting in the unwanted middle seats, but you could be only four rows back from the front and get off the plane in a jiffy.

Thursday afternoon, while studying for a test, I attempt to check in online and print out my boarding pass while I could still print free at the library. It was then, not when I received my confirmation email, not when I re-read it, and definitely not when my ticket was purchased by someone else, that I noticed the flight had been booked for March 1. Technically, I had missed my flight and for a minute there, I just felt stranded. Southwest was good enough about getting me another flight but easily, I had to pay the difference. (I am not accepting your check, Andrew.)

So, I get to the airport and the security guys are pretty nice about things, but I didn't know that you have to take your laptop out of its case before going through the x-ray machine. Or that I had to take off my jacket. But anway, all went well until I realized, but not for the first time, the dependence people have on cell phones. Also, how annoying they can be when they ask you if it is okay to sit next to you because they want to charge their phone. Then they proceed to use their phone, tell people they can't talk long because it is going to die, but still continue to talk about the drunken parties and tanning incidents they had. All of this while I am trying to read my borrowed book. I'm a complainer, I am, but if you were reading, I wouldn't sit next to you to talk on my phone.

So, over the past few days I've been kind of sick. I don't know where I got the bug, but the nose running won't stop, the ache-y throat , and now, for some reason, my left eye will not stop tearing. This illness needs to stop before my vacation to Vegas. Vegas!

Who would've thought that my favorite song of the night was going to be Baby One More Time and when the mic is handed to me and we're all standing up there, I'd give it my all. It's all I had and now I'm lost. I've forgotten my reasons; I've nearly forgotten why we ever did this.

Way to be vague, Natasha.

There is not nearly enough time in the day to do everything that needs to be done. There is just not enough time.

Two tests down, Four to go. Yea me.

My shoulders are a bit sore from the minimal work I really did yesterday. At first Project 2007 had me shoveling rocks and dirt but then we moved to another location to paint a fence. Painting in the wind is difficult if you're trying to avoid getting paint all over your clothers. With that in mind, I decided to wear the jeans that were about to get holes in them. Shoes too.

Speaking of shoes, I think I need to buy some new shoes. The two holes on the right foot are easily going to be one big hole. Vans prison issue, new chucks, or the Asics I've been wanting for a really long time? Oh Natasha, spending money. I really only noticed the condition of my shoes this week. Like I started to notice that the length of my hair is quickly reaching the longest it has ever been. I've always had short hair, so when it gets this length, I'm annoyed that it gets stuck in my backpack.

I bought a ticket home for March 9 so I can get home for the weekend before Vegas. I am very excited to see my fam, the growing baby in my sisters stomach, and Eman. Hurray!

Happy (Lunar) New Year.

I have two tests this week, one next week, and one after that I believe and I am not excited. But shall we start of this new year right? or better than the last new year in January?

I am incapable of participating in usual college student activities. This is true.

I am, however, spending a few days of my spring break in the brightly lit city of Las Vegas. Oh let the excitement begin! Road trip of twenty hours each way, here I come!

So, I'd say that 'ladies only night' turned out to be a success, with the exception of the guys coming over the help out the tv/dvd situation. Other than that, the roommates all decided to go in for manicure/pedicures. I opted for just the manicure though the whole spa foot scrub seemed tempting. Afterwards we split up and did grocery shopping for all the junk food as well as the drinks. More girls joined us for dinner at Hyde Park Bar & Grill and we all went back to the apartment for drinks, Sex and the City, Pictionary, and (I couldn't believe this) to top it all off, eyebrow waxing. Go TEAM ONE! Natalie, Jessica, Anh and I make a great team!

With my nails painted pink and my brows trimmed, I'm feeling a little girly overboard. Maybe a little bit of football tonight won't hurt. Yeah! Superbowl!

Oh yeah, Thursday was The Paper Chase show and I am so glad I went. Andrew Kwok, Brandon and Brittni went too. (I am probably spelling your name wrong, sorry!) They were really entertaining live, so everyone go out and see them! coming to a city near you.

While listening to Band of Horses' The Funeral (my favorite of theirs), I noticed that the bus I was riding had a large puff of smoke following it. As the smell quickly seeped into the bus, the driver slowly realized the smoke was coming from our bus and urged everyone to get off. I wasn't too far from home, so I thought I'd walk (but ended up catching the IF Shuttle) and glance back at the bus every once in a while to find a flame of fire coming from the smoke stack. The bus I ran to twelve minutes ago thinking "it's not your bus" decided to nearly catch on fire. Oh what a day!

Next up, The Paper Chase!

I had a lunch date with Yi-Chin today and it was fun. I forgot how fun lunch dates are, so if anyone is looking for a lunch date, I'll join you!

Also, I really like hanging out with Yi-Chin. She's like my sister away from home, even though she has her own twin sister here. Maybe she can teach me how to make some Taiwanese food.

And I won't rest until I forget about it.
I won't rest until I don't care.

Today, while I was riding the bus home, there was a pirate. He was just sitting there, in his large black coat and triangle hat falling asleep, a pirate. Then he got up when his stop came along and I got a glimpse of his less pirate purple pants. It's okay pirate, I won't tell.

If I were to have a themed party it would be one of the following: sixties mod, black and white, or rock and roll. I'm not sure what kind of music you'd play at a black and white party other than Michael Jackson's song, though. I guess the black and white would just be classy. Sorry Michael, you're not my kind of classy.

Someone have these parties and invite me, plz. Hah.

I'm at work and so far I've managed to be a couple minutes late (because of the buses), forgotten how to search for articles on WorldCat, watch this past Thursday's episode of Grey's Anatomy, and not start any of my homework that is due on Friday. And now, still, I am putting off the start of what appears to be a long homework assignment. Two days into the semester and I am already procrastinating? This is not the way to pull up your gpa, Natasha. GET TO IT.

Oh, but come on, last night was a party night and some people need to recover. You know, me and my heavy alcohol intake. Little or lots, cough syrup or energy drink, I hope Nicki had an action packt twenty second birfday.

And now! the homework begins.

Nina informed that I have not updated since the new year, and when a little sister that probably doesn't really care about updating tells you to, I say OK.

I'm really torn right now about going back to Austin and I think it always happens this way. In the middle of the break, I get really bored and want to go back, but now I don't. Maybe it is because when I go back, I know school is waiting. So are the books I need to purchase as well as the library books waiting to be shelved for hours. I don't know when my work hours are. I sent my boss an e-mail but she has yet to respond. Oh well, I'll find out soon enough.

My mother keeps collecting buttons for me. The past few nights she's come home from work with a new button. Oh, that reminds me. While I stayed with Nicole and Josh for a few days, we went to an antique warehouse where they sold buttons, single buttons for sixty five cents a piece. One button. Sixty five cents. Crazy. They weren't even that interesting.

Anyway, I have a lot of things to do today including researching a company and sewing. I must get ready for this externship and try to get myself an internship. Goodluck me.

Happy New Year.

Christmas was good. We went to eat Dim Sum for brunch with my Uncle and Nicole and Josh joined. Later in the afternoon, Nicole and Josh came over for early dinner as well as Agnes. Her family was over for the weekend but not actual Christmas so I invited her to spend it with us. Nina and I put together the fattiest foods of the dinner: deviled eggs, potato salad, and cheesecake! (delicious) As for the holiday haul, I received a paper trimmer, cute flats, and the wallet I've been wanting for about a year as well as other surprises.

I think I might be slightly sick. Every other day seems bad. The tissue box is my new best friend and my nose is red like Rudolph. Please go away runny/stuffy nose!

I just had an allergy attack, the kind with non-stop sneezing and watery eyes. Now I can't breathe.

It is good to see people you have not seen for a while and miss much. Eman and I did our usual Coffee Cup visit yesterday. I like how Coffee Cup has become the new hang out and that they even have the holiday drinks I'd usually get from Starbucks. Oh peppermint chocolate goodness! Afterwards, I went with Khang to get wings and saw the asian crew. Boneless wings are giant chicken nuggets. Today, Khang and I went to buy fabric and I continuously asked him about color combinations despite the fact he is color blind.

Christmas, get here already.
I can't keep my eyes open. Damn allergies. Oh! I think it all came from us being outside, trying to put up the Snoopy blow up thing in our yard (given as a gift last year), and trying to rake the leaves (with a hoe or my shoe). Hard work.

Yeah, Happy Holidays everyone!

12202006
So, now I am home from school for the holidays and I am ready for Christmas. The presents are wrapped and the tree and decorations are [not] up. I am, for some reason, in charge of decorating the house and making sure Christmas dinner is all set for Monday. Nicole said so, but I'm excited. Mostly because I was done with shopping (for the family) well before I came back home.

I have a problem with running into things likes walls and tables and getting bruises nearly immediately after the fact. They are not just any normal bruise though, they are the ones that create a large bump on your knee and still hurt hours later without being touched.

Tomorrow I get to see Eman and I am excited. I don't know when I will be able to see Natalie or Brittany next, but I hope it is during this winter break.

Speaking of winter, the drive back up to DFW got significantly cooler over the three hours. We left Austin probably in the seventies and got back to DFW feeling like the fifties. Winter shorts are not going to cut it (but when will the ever? I want to wear them.).

My favorites of 2006:
1. Band of Horses - Everything All The Time
2. The Paper Chase - Now You Are One Of Us
3. The Long Winters - Putting The Days To Bed
4. Phoenix - It's Never Been Like That
5. Lady Sovereign - Public Warning

GO MAVS! We just beat the Sonics.
