FEBRUARY TWO THOUSAND EIGHT
TEETHY TASH

TWENTY FIRST
Me: I wonder if my neighbors can hear me sneeze
Nina: Natasha, I can hear you sneeze from Boston

NINETEENTH
Just a few things to note:
I am not happy about Jason Kidd coming back to Dallas and the loss of Devin Harris and DeSagana Diop, as well as the others. Let's see how the Mavs do now.

Nina purchased Rock Band and it is being shipped to our home in Grand Prairie. If anyone wants to visit GP and take me with you, Nina has given me permission for us to play without her.

I recently learned that the two doors to the left of my apartment door are actually entrances to the same apartment. This meaning, I am the only neighbor the noisy boys (and girl) annoy.

SIXTEENTH
Whenever Jessica and I get together, it's a shopping experience that leaves us with a happy full stomach, happy newly covered feet and a sad emptier wallet. I'm really good at telling Nicole not to buy things but once Jess and I get together, I'm really good at rationalizing my purchases. Buying new things always makes me feel better about myself because it's so easy to be materialistic.

I should donate some clothes and shoes.

As far as how all my (self)tests this past week went, I failed all of them. I kind of failed myself, but it's okay, it's going to slide. I'm going to lessen my AIM usage, slowly. I'm going to exercise when I can. And I haven't gone back on what I gave up.

Here I am in my apartment with my hood up and socks on being cold and not realizing that I haven't turned on the heater. Is it worth it when tomorrow is supposed to be seventy?

Oh, and now that I have cash, I really want to walk by some Girl Scouts to buy some Thin Mints. If you see them, LET ME KNOW.

THIRTEENTH
The last two days have been a routine of waking up, doing a little cardio, showering, getting ready, eating breakfast, classing, lunching, working, watching an hour of tv, napping, eating, tv-ing again, homeworking, then sleeping. That is not an interesting day and it is becoming my routine. Especially that part about me napping around six pm.

My mom is so cute. She calls Nina and me during her work break to have her call her cellphone back to see if we know the callback ringtone. This time was a Led Zeppelin song. Then she asked me if I had date plans tomorrow for V-day and I laughed. I hope she and my dad go out somewhere to eat, Thursday night pho. Thursday night is ALWAYS pho night when I am home. I LOVE it, but I think it will need to change since Nicole informed me about buy-one-get-one-free pho weekends.

The homework in Chinese has calmed to once a week, but now I have Monday tests, Tuesday quizzes, Wednesday Oral quizzes and Friday quizzes. Today was our first oral quiz and everyone was so stressed. It actually wasn't so bad (100!) but it was a little confusing when she forgot I had already answered two questions and tried to ask me a third. No! you said I was freeeee!

I dress like a teacher too often. Example: today.

TWELFTH
Oh, I'm an idiot.

Day One: No exercising before class. I missed Nina all day until she messaged me on gmail and we cheated.

TENTH
This week is test week. I'm testing to see if I can wake up and exercise a little before I shower and get to class. I'm testing to see if I can stay off AIM for the week. This means that I won't be talking to Nina daily, constantly.

I am, however, almost always logged into my gmail account and you can catch me there, or send me an email if you wish at trexsaysrawr@gmail.com. Or you can just call me, duh. I'm so bad at making phone calls, but maybe this'll force me to be better at it.

I'm also being tested on translating sentences and answering questions in Chinese. I hope all these tests go well and if you have some too, good luck!

NINTH
I know I'm not Catholic, or even remotely religious, but ever since (maybe) high school, I've decided to give something up or try to improve on something for lent. I even used to give up eating meat, but this year I'm not. This year I am still eating meat and I am giving something up, but not for lent, for the 'Natasha, you should really do this because it's better this way' cause. Hopefully, it's not for just forty days. Little steps at a time, Natasha, little steps at a time.

This weekend is pretty quiet. I managed to make it to school today to work on my lab book, as well as, bother Yi-Chin at work and con her into going to get Jamba Juices with me. Otherwise, quiet weekends involve me mostly at my apartment and a lot of me-time (or out shopping spending money I shouldn't). I really do like living by myself, but sometimes there is too much me-time. I can only take so much discussing of subjects and situations with myself in my head (or out loud). I need a roommate, boyfriend, closer best friend or better neighbors. Take your pick! (JK)

Jessica and I are like butter and bread, she said. It must be true.

I wonder what percentage of people that like someone actually, eventually, tell that someone. Plenty of people could be really flattered. Plenty of relationships and marriages could be destroyed, though. I can see this going both ways.

Expecting RAM and $$$ in the mail!!! Hurray! for the new year.

THIRD
This weekend has been busy. Friday evening Jessica and Linh drove into ATX and we caught some dinner before heading out to a party. A little pre-party at my place caused me to already redden. Go me and my asian-ess! The party was alright, with the exception of me feeling sick and it being cold outside. Saturday was plenty of eating out, grocery shopping and buying a new pair of shoes with Jess and Philip, Linh and Rick, twinsies and Natalie. Today was work and the Mavs and Patriots losing, however, I had a delicious dinner!

The coke machine also gave me two sodas for one. And I didn't feel guilty.

Despite the fact that I just had cokes, am eating [the best] cookies [ever] and had ice cream yesterday, I'm on my way to try to get fit. In the privacy of my own home. Maybe.

JANUARY
TWENTY-SIXTH
MAKE ME STOP SPENDING MONEY. On the plus side, I finally own a red pullover hoodie.
MAKE ME STOP BEING SO CLUMSY. I'm pretty sure I have a bump-bruise from kicking the grocery cart.
MAKE ME STOP HAVING A TEENAGE CRUSH ON YOU. It sure isn't going anywhwere.
MAKE ME STOP HAVING BAD CHINESE HANDWRITING. My teachers are so damn strict.
MAKE MY NEIGHBORS STOP PLAYING IRON MAN.

TWENTY-FIRST
Did I ever tell you that I'm tired of hearing Band of Horses' Funeral on television?
Well, I am.

NINETEENTH
One week of school is over and I'm now Nina-less. I guess it's time to work on that Chinese and stop watching television. I miss baby. Someone have coffee with me. I'm bored. I want to call up E and be like 'let's go to the coffee cup! NOW', but it doesn't work that way, I guess.

SIXTEENTH
I don't want to be your friend. I just want to be your lover.

This is my schedule in large, ugly excel form. Come see me at work?

So, my astronomy class is for non-science majors and the first day of class was kind of ridiculous with how much the professor noted that there will be minimal math involved while he mixed up miles and kilometers and severely truncated an already estimated number. Also, the textbook has already made lame jokes and explained how big the solar system is five different times on ten different pages. Also, I'm a nerd. I hope this class turns out to be an easy A, at least.

My Chinese class seems pretty intensive. I'm not used to having a class every day of the week with daily homework but I guess I'll have to get used to it. Must learn some Mandarin! FUN.

Nina is here (currently snoring). It has been fun having her around but I'll be sad when she has to leave! I don't know when the next time I'll see her will be. OH WAIT. I LIE. SPRING BREAK. DUH.

TENTH
Just one day left in North Texas and then it's getting my mindset back to school. I'm excited that Nina is coming with me for a week but I feel bad since I will be in class and working for quite a bit of it. She can finally hang out with her friends that are down in Austin as well. I want to hang out too!

The new attitude is not reclusive.
Yea for financial aid!
Part of me wants a car.
Not that Yea for financial aid to help me buy a car.

The past few days have been making a Beethoven stencil (FINALLY!) and painting him onto a tee-shirt and a (poorly-made) tote bag. Hurray for Beethoven, the beast covering the romance and classical era.

Today, I went back to the place I got my hair cut so Nicole and my mom could get theirs done. It's funny that my hair was used as the example for Nicole's new 'do. Thanks for liking my hair, Nicole! I already want to get it trimmed in the back, otherwise I'm mullet-bound and I do not want that.

FOURTH
The New Year, The New Year. So far I have enjoyed spending time with the people I love. Because of Christmas presents, movie rentals, and Target sales, Nina and I have accumulated quite a few dvd's. So, over the past week I have watched new and old movies, House episodes, but also, I've seen the new Juno movie, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was hoping for more Michael Cera, though, hah.

I believe I am heading back to Austin next Friday or Saturday, which means I don't have a lot of time left here to do the things I planned. Things hardly ever work out as planned.

Two nights ago my dad, Nina and I went to the Dallas Mavs game against the Golden State Warriors. Everyone was under the impression that it'd be a tough game that we might not win, but in reality, the Mavs were on top the entire game and finished with twenty-one points ahead. Go Mavs! Tonight, they play Miami and I admit, I still hate Miami from two finals ago.

Okay. It's a new year with new hair, let's have a new attitude. Let's stick to plans. Let's have fun.
Let's mail off ponytails and return rented movies on time. C'mon Natasha, let's do it.
