Natasha, what did you do over the weekend?
Oh, I played RockBand for a ridiculous amount of time.
Also, John is walking! and cute as ever. 'Specially when he grabbed the drumsticks and tried to mimic me. We have a little rocker on our hands.

I've been waking up with a new bite each day. I hate it.

I'm glad college kids don't pinch you if they don't see you wearing green.
So, it's been a while, and I must say that I barely did any work over the week, enjoyed seeing most of my favorite people (and some) and had the horrible 'first-day-back' mindset. Here is a long and not so mindblowing description of my trip to Boston. My intentions were to put the few pictures I have on the page to make it a little more interesting, but it got ugly. Flickr, at some point.
I came back on Wednesday and spent the rest of the week attempting to see some of SXSW. Thursday was discovering a decent band and that people actually do wear their Order of the Engineer rings. Friday was practically a high school reunion with Man Factory in town for a house show and running into people I hadn't seen in years. Linh and Anh came into town on Saturday and we checked out some bands, including seeing Tapes 'n Tapes at the ACL recording studio. And last night, we hung out and watched V for Vendetta, since I hadn't seen it. There are quite a few movies I want to see, still in theaters I think.
What I've learned: I may choose beer over liquor, I'm not dateable, studying is (kind of) important, SXSW makes ATX hotter (temperature), SXSW makes ATX hotter (people).
AM I GOING HOME THIS WEEKEND? No. YES.
Will anyone make plans with me to go see Ladytron on my birthday nearly three months in advance? It's on a Friday and I'll even buy your ticket? I refuse to have a shitty birthday this year and we can dance all night!

Today marks the death of my flatiron. Bye decent flatiron, now my hair will be frizzy and fluffy. The day didn't start out well with that, pouring rain to class, rivers to walk through and a wet foot all day. The weather was lovely.
I really can't stress how much I just want Wednesday to be over. After tests and an interview, I'm home free for vacation!

I've learned that I can very well enjoy my evening in by watching a silly foreign movie that makes me cry and by starting my astronomy homework that leads to philosophical discussions of free will. I've learned that going shopping with a friend What Not To Wear style (in pretending that it's okay to spend that much on an item) and eating out and having a beer is enjoyable as well. A day filled with library work and study catch up, however, is not fun.
Hey, Happy March!

I can't believe how nice it's been this week. The weather has kept me in a decent, upbeat state. Now, next week has the usual Chinese tests and homework, along with a DSC test and job interview. I'm already a bit nervous and need to purchase some more appropriate clothes.
My Astronomy class is learning about the basics of Einstein's theory of relativity and as much physics as I do in my every day curriculum, this is the hardest part of physics to understand for me. (Given, I'm not a physics major and mechanical engineering really only requires kinematics and e&m knowledge.) But really, HOW DOES mass increase, HOW DOES length shorten? How is orbiting around the Earth moving in a straight line? It's really difficult for me to grasp concepts that I don't physically experience on a semi-regular basis.
You can't grasp the intangible.
One week countdown (almost) until Spring break and I AM SO READY. Nina and I have already made some plans and it'll be exciting to see Agnes. I miss home a little, especially baby John and pregnant(again) sister. Also, I wouldn't mind playing some Rock Band with the 'rents or girls. HAFTA WAIT.
I am always waiting! Lame!

Today was so nice. Chilly and clear skied with my new favorite 'walk to class' songs. Good day all around, I loved it. I hope you had a good day, too.

I had a dream last night that I was walking around my house and my mom said to me "what's that!" and I look down at my arm and see that I have a tattoo, on the inside of my upper right arm, above the elbow. Weird place, if you ask me. I can't for the life of me remember what the tattoo was of, though, and I really wish I could.
Today is very warm and I think I'm about to go to the park to study and swing a bit, given allergies are okay.

Now, I'm well aware of the fact that there is another week before the month of March but that hardly matters. Maybe I'm looking forward to Spring break when I can get on a plane and visit my sister and send something home to my other sister for her birthday. Which reminds me, I wonder if John ever got his Valentine's day card. It took them about two months to get their Christmas card because I have poor handwriting.
After the Mr. Engineering pageant (yes, I went to that), I came back home to watch the rest of the debate. Though I probably should've been watching all along and not attending a ridiculous pageant, I think I know who my vote would be for, if I were voting. Unfortunately my registration is in Grand Prairie, so no primaries for me. Jessica and I discussed a little about our voting rights and the tricky situation with health care. I don't fully understand how the current system works and I'm not sure how implementing any of the new plans will work, but I sure want to learn. I also wish my family were a little more political and talked about things, but that is not the case.
Five and a half hours later and I'm still not at the grocery store. I should've just gone by myself right after class.
The other day I got a text message (what's with all this texting, in my dreams too!) from someone asking me about the '99 Jetta I'm selling. I just thought, man!, if I had a Jetta, I would not be selling it. I'd be driving myself to the grocery store and laundry mat because I'm both food and clothes-less.
